Swede Mountain Lookout

The cache is located on Swede Mountain near the lookout. Prior to July 1st you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles on a well maintained road. After July 1st the terrain rating is only one-star because you can drive right to the lookout.

Swede Mountain Lookout is just a short drive from Libby and is at an elevation of 4305 feet. The lookout is accessed from Swede Mountain road # 533. The last mile or so to the lookout is behind a gate that is closed until July 1st. So prior to July 1st you will need to walk the last mile or so and after July 1st you can drive right to the lookout. The walk isn’t bad and takes about 30-45 minutes.
