Black Eagle Rock N 48° 26.847 W 115° 40.071 (WGS84)
Archived due to excessive vandalism
Drive to the end of the Kootenai River Road and park in the parking lot. Walk past the gate about 100 yards to a road on the right. Here there is a sign that says "Black Eagle Rock" and an arrow pointing to the trail. It's a short ten minute hike up a narrow trail to the top. There are some steep cliffs and drop offs along the trail and at the top, be careful. Not advised for small children. The cache is not near any edge.
There are a few bighorn sheep in the area and they seem to like this rock. Bring your camera as there are some good views from the top.
