Indian Head Mountain

This cache is located on the top of Indian Head Mountain. The elevation of Indian Head Mountain is 7144 feet. From the top you have a great view of some of the mountains and lakes at the northern end of the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness. Park at the Sky Lakes/Flower Lake trailhead on the Flower Creek road #128. From there, go down the Parmenter Tie trail #140 approximately 1/4 of a mile until you see the sign for the Indian Head trail heading up hill. The Parmenter Tie trail heads downhill from the parking lot and you will lose approximately 150 feet in elevation before you even start. From the parking lot to the top of the mountain is 3.7 miles. The Flower Creek road #128 is closed in the early spring and usually opens in June.
